Life and achievements
Early life
On February 27, 1994, Yacoub Shaheen, the son of Assyrian-Christian parents, entered the world in Bethlehem, Palestine. He spent his childhood there, where he encountered diverse musical traditions from this historically and culturally significant place. His family started noticing his singing abilities at a young age and supported his musical learning.
At a young age, he discovered his passion for Arabic classical music and traditional Assyrian melodies. He started his musical education by mastering the bouzouki and clarinet instruments, which formed essential components of his artistic persona. He participated in school and church choirs, which helped him develop his singing skills and build his stage performance confidence.

Music became his growing interest, but Shaheen continued to pursue his academic studies. The student spent time at Palestine Polytechnic University while maintaining his singing activities and education. Through his persistent efforts and dedication, he succeeded in music and education. The Palestinian music scene saw him establish his name through his performances at university cultural events and local concerts throughout his academic years.
Shaheen significantly advanced his musical career by releasing his debut official song, "Human Spirit," in 2013. Elias Gres wrote the lyrics for the music, which RJ Productions in Bethlehem recorded to display Shaheen's mature vocal abilities. The song received a favorable reception across Palestine and the broader Arab world, establishing his professional singer status.
